Getting involved in North Tamworth Anglican Church, you will find you become a part of the extended family of the church, and begin to experience true Christian community. People will love and care for you, pray and support you, and you may well find relationships developing that will go on for years to come.

Weekly small groups are run for members to dig into the bible, pray, and care for each other under the leadership of mature Christians. Bible study groups are the first context for pastoral care across the church. This means that being a committed member of the group is the best way to be served and to serve others. For many people, being part of a Bible study group is one of the best experiences in their Christian life.

We believe that church is for all ages. For this reason kids stay in the main service for the first part. After the ‘kids spot’ they head out to the Sunday Kids program (Pre-School & yrK-6) and creche (0-3 years). The kids will continue learning from the Bible in a range of age appropriate activities with our trained kids leaders. All of our staff, Sunday Kids and creche leaders have completed Safe Ministry Training and have current Working With Children Checks.

Wanting to check out Jesus? Learn more about what the Bible teaches? Christianity explained is a short course to find out more about what it means to be a Christian. We run Christianity explained regularly throughout the year. It is designed to outline the Christian faith. Contact us or chat to one of our team when you attend a service if you’re interested.

Our church takes seriously Jesus command to go out and make disciples (Matthew 28). Each member of our congregation is encouraged to see themselves as a missionary in the place God has put them. We also have a link with broader missionary partners around Australia and the world and see it as important to play our part in God’s international work. Currently we are linked with Andrew and Margie Newman serving in Uganda with Church Missionary Society.

We are passionate to see young people grow to know and treasure Jesus, as they grow in their understanding of God’s Word. The Youth Bible study is for those in school years 7-12, and is held at 3.30 – 5pm Sunday afternoons at William Cowper Campus. There is age appropriate bible studies and games in a fun and dynamic way, with our trained leaders, who have completed Safe Ministry and other Youth Training.
